Your guide, Shawn Holsinger, lives in East Freedom, PA with his wife. He serves as head Pro Staffer in his father's fly shop www.holsingersflyshop.com. Shawn also owns and operates his very popular YouTube Channel for Holsinger's Fly Shop www.youtube.com/user/HolsingersFlyShop with over 490 videos covering everything from fly tying techniques and patterns to videos of his fishing trips and tips on fly fishing.
Shawn started fly fishing and fly tying at the age of 12 when he was taught by his fishing mentor to swing wet flies. Over the years, he has learned to drift dry flies and nymph fish. Growing up in West Central Pennsylvania with it's limestone rich streams and great wild trout populations has afforded him many fishing opportunities. |

As his fishing skills increased, he has had many opportunities to fish with some very talented fishermen including many competition fishermen, who have taught him the euro-nymphing style of fly fishing. This productive method of fly fishing can be taught to all levels of fishermen and can increase your odds of catching fish dramatically. If you are interested in learning this technique, this is one of my favorite styles of fly fishing to teach to my clients. As always, we use the best method for the situation we are fishing, whether that be dries to rising trout, swinging wets during a hatch, or stripping streamers in high water conditions. I'm not a one-trick pony. We will easily adapt to the situation to get you onto the fish and give you the best trip possible.

From tiny mountain streams full of small native brookies that can't resist a dry fly, to chasing wild browns on some of the local small streams that haven't been stocked in years, or floating dries over large browns during the evening hatch on the Little Juniata. With more than 35 years of fly fishing experience on his local water, he has learned the best waters and hatches to make your day on the water a memorable one.
